The incredible snot monster

The novel I've been talking about on and off takes place in a greater universe I created with my brother, Invid, mostly because we're dweebs and worldbuild for fun. He generally handles the villains and basic tech-setups and things like that, while I generally handle the heroes, throw names at him, rename cities and tell him his working names are ridiculous.

(Which means, incidentally, that anything written in the universe is technically cowritten between us even if I don't say so.)

It's essentially a world filled with transforming superheroes and the villains who fight them. Power-rangers-style (also known as tokusatsu) because that's what we were doing at the time. XD (Did you know Invid has an entire blog about how Zordon didn't tell us everything? He rarely posts on that one compared to his other, but I still find it hilarious. And awesome.)

Anyway, there was a demonic entity he wanted designed, and he says to me, "Base it around noses and ears and, you know, mucal guk." (This is a paraphrase, Invid does not use cutesy non-words like I do.)

Five minutes later he gave me a Look and informed me that this was sillier than what he'd been going for.

This is not silly! This is tragical! He just needs a tissue so bad!!!
