GDG Drawing Tips-Proportions

Again, because people ask me about this kind of thing.

My first drawing book was about superheroes, and it talked about the "how many heads tall" a character should be thing. I remember poring over graph paper, trying so hard to get it right, and what was my biggest problem with anatomy over the years? Arm length in relation to the body.

Figures, right? So that's why this talks about how long the arm should be and not about heads.

I haven't got the Mr. Sticks one ready yet, but there is one important thing people need to know about my version of him: the shapes are based on masses of muscle as well as bone.

Yes, I talk about boobs a lot in this one. It's a pet peeve of mine; it has been since middle school when all the boys were showing me pictures of what they thought were naked women, trying to get me riled up, and the breasts were almost uniformly drawn as a pair of circles with dots in the centers.

My response was always "Boobs don't look like that." And then I'd get a sour and dissappointed "How do YOU know?" and it was like "I wear a BRA, how do you THINK?"

These things take a long time to load into the file space.
