Clubbing uncolored

I did this monster a few weeks ago. I do plan on coloring it, it's just I only recently began to. It was after a night at a club with :iconshiekahchica: and I wanted to convey the atmosphere in a science fiction sort of setting.

This is, by the by, set in the universe of my webcomic, The Law of Purple. If you look you'll see several of the characters (it'll be easier once I've colored it to find them), Blue, Morgan and Synn. (Oh dear. XD Why do I get the feeling Blue is in trouble?)

Blue's face isn't showing; he's the closest person to the viewer, Synn is watching him get hit on with some amusement, and Morgan's over at the bar, flirting with the Drakon bartender.

Oh-- because this sometimes confuses people when they see pics like this-- LOP is NOT set in the future. It's set in a non-defined present time, in a slightly alternate reality from our own. But the societies off Earth are often highly advanced in some way, and often when I DO get the story off Earth I detect a slightly Star Warsy flavor.

Some of the races you see here:
Drakon, three different races (All three being the ones that haven't been represented in the comic yet)
Nekojin (All the furry people. XD)
Blorb (The guy on instruments with the biiig happy grin. O_o)
Chu'ogin (There may be several in the crowd, but the one I know is a chu'ogin is the chick with her hands on Blue's leg.)
Zosian (The singer, one of the spectators, and the lady onscreen)
Caligulan (Obviously, because a good majority of the non-terran characters in the comic are Caligulan. XD)
There's probably at least one wraithe in there...
Myranian (The bored chick at the bar and a girl with ponytails and a laptop)
And Purple, the little "grey" (traditional big-headed alien) at the bar who never made it as a character (even though my ex boyfriend wanted me to write him in, I held fast) and who is trying to drink himself into the ground. XDD He's a punk. (I never did come up with what to call his species... O_<

Once I've gotten basic "true" colors of the characters done, I plan on doing a lot of experimentation with lighting effects on this. So right now, instead of my usual method of shading right along, I'm laying down flat color instead. And I plan on shrinking it to a height of 860 pixels when it's done. It's HUGE.
