I don't mention it there, but this is (obviously, to someone familiar with them) sort of a parody of shojo manga chapter covers, which for some reason often feature characters from the story bound all up with string. The difference is, most of them aren't snarling. (And, of course, most aren't in full color with weird backgrounds.)

Also, he's bound with magicks. XD The string is magicked. The circle on his chest is an actual rune circle I got from a book. It looks better than I expected.

I like how this turned out pretty well, but the text in the final version, unfortunately, covers up those beams of light in the upper left-hand corner. Which is part of why it's going up here.
